                                                Tabor “Ted” Jan Caulier

 

Tabor “Ted” Caulier was born April 22, 1937 in Stellarton, Pictou County, NS.  After completing Grade X1 in 1955, he joined the royal Canadian Navy as a Meteorologist Observer.  Upon leaving the Navy after 5 years, he immediately joined the Halifax City Police Department and was assigned to foot patrol.  In 1968 he was promoted to the rank of Detective Constable, then to Corporal and then to Sergeant.  He spent the next 15 years as a plain clothes Detective.  In 1982 he returned to foot patrol as Sergeant in Charge of a Platoon.  The last 5 years he finished his career as a Court Liaison Officer followed by Departmental Reader.  He served thirty two years with the Halifax Police Department. He enjoys hunting and fishing as his current hobbies and had been active in sports during his school years and career.  He is an active member of St. James Anglican Church.
